Jag t\u00e4nker direkt p\u00e5 eldar, v\u00e5rs\u00e5ng, sill och annan god mat &#8211; och d\u00e5ligt v\u00e4der. Desto b\u00e4ttre d\u00e5 att samlas inomhus kring en brasa med familj (nu i coronatider) eller i goda v\u00e4nners lag (\u00e5tminstone de som redan haft Covid-19, i dessa tider) och njuta god mat tillsammans. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Valborgsfirandet finns \u00e4ven i Finland d\u00e4r den kallas Vappen (och firas alldeles fenomenalt kan vi intyga sedan tidigare trevliga Valborgsfiranden i Helsingfors!), samt i Estland och Lettland. Det s\u00e4gs \u00e4ven att man firar Valborg i Tjeckien, Slovenien och Tyskland, \u00e4ven om jag aldrig h\u00f6rt talas om det och maken som vuxit upp i Tyskland att han aldrig sett tillstymmelse till Valborgsfirande d\u00e4r. Hur det \u00e4n \u00e4r med den saken \u00e4r det ursprungligen en hednisk h\u00f6gtid men som senare kom att g\u00e4lla helgonet den heliga Valborg som firas just den 30 april f\u00f6r att Walpurgis helgonf\u00f6rklarades den 1 maj \u00e5r 779. Ursprungligen trodde man att h\u00e4xorna denna natt red p\u00e5 kvastar eller getabockar till offerplatser f\u00f6r att fira med sj\u00e4lva dj\u00e4vulen. Enligt den kristna versionen av Valborgsm\u00e4ssoafton samlades man d\u00e4rf\u00f6r f\u00f6r att t\u00e4nda eldar och f\u00f6ra ov\u00e4sen f\u00f6r att st\u00f6ra h\u00e4xorna.<\/strong> <strong>Valborg \u00e4r vidare en viktig h\u00f6gtid vid universiteten d\u00e5 studentm\u00f6ssorna \u00e5ker p\u00e5 inf\u00f6r den kommande studenten. Grillen sparar jag g\u00e4rna till l\u00e4ngre fram d\u00e5 solen \u00e4r mer ben\u00e4gen att titta fram. Sill i n\u00e5gon form tycker jag h\u00f6r till, antingen som f\u00f6rr\u00e4tt eller till lunch. V\u00e4lj lamm, n\u00f6t eller kalv eller rentav kyckling (som d\u00e5 steks hela tiden i ugnen till 72 grader) och servera med en h\u00e4rligt fr\u00e4sch s\u00e5s f\u00f6r v\u00e5ren, smaksatt med ugnsrostad citron och vitl\u00f6k. Receptet publiceras i eget inl\u00e4gg h\u00e4r bredvid. Den h\u00e4r t\u00e5rtan \u00e4r mycket mer l\u00e4tt att g\u00f6ra \u00e4n man kan tro och brukar uppskattas mycket, med smak av den h\u00e4rliga sp\u00e4da rabarbern.
